Our story

We design and develop mainly 100% plant based meat alternatives that have the look, taste and mouthfeel of actual meat.

Next to the growing demand for proteins and sustainable solutions, we see that the mindset of people towards plant based meat is changing. We need to move our diets towards more plant based protein sources. ME-AT (meet the alternative) was created to be part of this change!

We see our role in the plant based segment to offer an easy and recognizable alternative for meat and fish, allowing consumers to easily switch protein sources.

Consumers prefer products that look fresh and offer more flexibility in preparation. Our products not only look like fresh meat, but also cook and taste like real meat. With every product we develop, we strive to make it as difficult as possible to taste the difference with the traditional meat equivalent.

The market demand for plant-based proteins is growing, but the raw materials often come from far away, in a supply chain that is not always transparent.

ME-AT has the ambition to build a local and transparent supply chain that has a positive impact on the farmer, nature and the consumer.

These supply chains consist of locally grown proteins from dedicated farmers in a fully transparent supply chain, from farm to fork.
